Daniel9:16
Ver. 16. O Lord, according to all thy righteouſneſſe] Not that of equitie, but the other of fidelity, 1 Joh. 1.9.
Thy holy mountain] So Jeruſalem is called, becauſe dedicated to the Holy One; who alſo choſe it for the ſeat of his royal reſiance, the place of his holy Oracle.
Thy people are a reproach] And this reflecteth upon thee, as needs it muſt, ſith they do quarter armes with thee.
