Verſ. 18. It is good that thou ſhouldeſt take hold of this] i. e. Of this golden mean; walking accurately by line and by rule,Pſal. 125.5 and continuing conſtant in thine integrity, not turning aſide to the right hand, or to the left. As for thoſe that turn aſide unto thoſe crooked waies of being juſt over-much, by needleſs ſcrupuloſity, or wicked over-much, by deteſtable exorbitancy, the Lord ſhall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity, as cattel led to the ſlaughter, or malefactors to execution. When hee that feareth God ſhall come out of them all. Hee ſhall look forthright, Prov. 4.25. and ſhall have no occaſion of ſtumbling, 1 Joh. 2.10. Hee ſhall alſo bee freed from, or pulled as a firebrand out of the fire, Zach. 3.2.
