Ver. 17. When they went, they went upon their four ſides] Or, according to their four ſides, i. e. thorough the four parts of the world, as they were moved by the four living creatures.

And they returned not when they went] But kept on ſtrait forward, without ſtopping or ſtepping back.Diod. A figure of the conſtant and conſonant harmony which is in all the works of Gods Providence toward the world, but eſpecially toward his Church.
