Ezekiel11:18
Ver. 18. And they ſhall take away all the deteſtable things] So God calleth their Mawmets and monuments of Idolatry;They choſe rather to dye, then to ſuffer Caligula's ſtatue to be ſet up in their Temple by Petronius. not daigning to call them by their uſual names. After the Captivity the Jews would never endure idols. To this day they ſay that there is an ounce of the golden calf in all their ſufferings.
