Ver. 10. Wherefore I cauſed them] With a ſtrong hand and an outſtretcht arm I cauſed it, againſt all the force of Egypt, Exod. 13.18. God hath alſo mightily brought England out of Egypt ſpiritual: and dealt with it not according to his ordinary rule, but according to his prerogative.

And brought them into the wilderneſſe] Where I was not any wilderneſſe unto them or land of darkneſſe, Jer 2.31. but a God All-ſufficient; raining bread from heaven upon them, and ſetting the flint abroach rather then they ſhould pine and periſh.
