Ezra10:10

Verſe 10. We have treſpaſſed] We have diſloyally or rather ſacrilegiouſly treſpaſſed, by tranſgreſſing the Covenant. Other mens ſins are rebellions againſt God, but the Saints ſinnes are treacheries. Let the Philiſtins bind Sampſon, it will be nothing ſo grievous to him, as that his brethren ſhould do it. Mens offences are much increaſed by their obligations.

To increaſe the treſpaſſe of Iſrael] To adde to the heap which thereby is grown as high as Heaven, chap. 9.6. and calls hard for fire from thence, Pſal. 11.6. to revenge the quarel of the Covenant. Draw water therefore before the Lord, as thoſe did, 1 Sam. 7.6. Yea poure out your hearts before him. God is a refuge for us, Pſal. 62.7.
