Verſe 17. Abraham, when he was tried] Often trials which Abraham paſſed, this laſt was the foreſt, No ſon of Abraham can look to eſcape temptations, when he ſeeth that boſome, in which he deſireth to reſt, ſo aſſaulted with difficulties.
Offered up his ſon Iſaac] Ready he was ſo to have done, and therefore it is reputed and reckoned as done indeed, 2 Cor. 8.12. See the Note there.
