Ver. 33. Behold, the Lord ſhall top the bough] i.e. Thoſe of greateſt ſtate and ſtature in the Aſſyrian army.
And the haughty ſhall be humbled] See chap. 2.11, 17.
Per Magnificum.Ver. 34. By a mighty one] That is, by an Angel, as chap. 37.36. See Pſal. 78.25. and 89.5, 6.
