Ver. 13. Becauſe this people draweth near to me &c.] For their putid hypocriſie, and outſideneſs in Gods ſervice, they were given up by him to be further hardened by the Devil, and to have their necks poſſeſt by an iron ſinew;Hypocritis nihil ſtupidius. ſee the Note on Mat. 15.8.
