Isaiah29:19
Ver. 19. The meek alſo ſhall increaſe their Joy in the Lord] All ſincere Converts, ſuch eſpecially as have maſtered and mortified their unruly paſſions, and are cured of the Fret; theſe ſhall add Joy, theſe ſhall have Joy upon Joy, they ſhall over-abound exceedingly with Joy, 2 Cor. 7.4.
The poor amongſt men] the poor in ſpirit. Theſe ſhall greatly rejoyce, both for the mercy of God to themſelves, and for the Juſtice of God exerciſed upon others, ver. 20, 21.
