Isaiah30:22
Ver 22. Thou ſhalt defile alſo the covering] Thou ſhalt pollute the idols which thou hadſt perfumed. Such a change is wrought in people by the Word preached, as is to be ſeen in all the Reformed Churches:Comparat idola ſcorto perpetuo monſtro abominabili. Zeged. Cavete ab idolis.
Thou ſhalt caſt them away as a menſtruous cloth] Ʋt mulierem laborantem ex menſibus: Piſcat.
Thou ſhalt ſay unto them, Get thee hence] A page, Abi in malam crucem. Men ſhould heartily hate ſin by them committed: dealing by it, as Amnon did by Tamar: and as heartily deſiring to forgo it as to have it forgiven: to part with it, as to have it pardoned: See Hoſ. 14.8. with the Notes.
