Isaiah30:32
Ver. 32. And in every place where the grounded ſtaffe ſhall paſs] virga fundata, ſeu infixa, Gods rod or ſtaffe, wherewith he beateth the Aſſyrians, ſhall pierce their fleſh, and ſtick in it, make deep wails, yea ſtick in their very bowels, as Ehuds dagger did in Eglons gutts. And this ſhall be done with little ado too.
It ſhall be with tabrets and harps] quiſi per ludum, non tormentis bellicis.
And in battles of ſhaking will he fight with it] levi quadam velitatione bellica, by skirmiſhings only.
