Isaiah52:4
Ver. 4. And the Aſſyrian oppreſſed them without cauſe] Nulla injuria laceſſſitus. So did the Primitive Perſecutors, the Chriſtians of thoſe times: though they were non aliunde noſcibiles quam ex vitae integritate, ſaith Juſtin Martyr, eminent for their innocency; as Pliny alſo in his Epiſtle to Trajan the Emperour teſtifieth. What hurt had the Iſraelites ever done to malicious Moah, that he was irked at them? Num. 22.3. or the Hebrews to the Aſſyrians, that they ſhould oppreſſe them?
