Isaiah9:17
Ver. 17. Therefore the Lord ſhall have no joy in their yong men] Nay he ſhall laugh at their deſtruction, Prov. 1.
Neither ſhall have mercy on their fatherleſs and widdows] They are deceived therefore that being unregenerate, hope to find favour with God, merely for their adverſity: and becauſe they have their Hell, as they call it, here, think to have Heaven hereafter.
Becauſe every one is an hypocrite and an evil-doer] That facies hypocritica of our nation is facies Hippocratica, ſaith One; a mortal complexion, a ſad Prognoſtick.
And every mouth ſpeaketh folly] Or villany; ſapleſs, worthleſs, rotten and ſtinking ſtuffe, Eph. 4.29.
