Ver. 21. Yet I had planted thee a noble vine] Heb. a Sorek, or with ſlips of Sorek. Judg. 16.4. See Eſa. 5.3. (a parallel text) Exod. 15.17. Pſal. 44.3. and 80.9.
Wholly a right ſeed] That ſhould have yielded a right crop: but it proveth otherwiſe; nec votis reſpondet avari Agricolae.
How then art thou turned into the degenerate plant] How is that ſlips of Sorek prove ſlips of Sodom? Deut. 32.32. See on Iſa. 5.4, 7.
