Jeremiah38:12
Ver. 12. But now theſe caſt-clouts] Hence ſome gather that the Prophet was put into this loathſome hole naked, or very ill clad at leaſt. The Fathers allegorize this ſtory to ſet forth the vocation of the Gentiles, and the rejection of the Jews.
