Ver. 23. How is the hammer of the whole earth out aſunder?] Babylon was the mawle of many Nations. Nimrod began it, and his ſucceſſours took after him. Charles Martel King of France, was ſo called for like cauſe. Augustine alſo was worthily ſtiled Haereticorum malleus the hammer of hereticks: and Mr. Arthur Hilderſam Schiſmaticorum malleus, the mawle of Schiſmaticks.
