Ver. 32. And that the paſſages are ſtopt] Or, taken, ſeized, ſurpriſed, as ch. 48.41.
And thereeds] Or Mariſhes, made by Euphrates overflowing. It is well obſerved, that the Babylonians might by this Prophecy have been forewarned and forearmed againſt Cyrus his ſtratagem: But they ſlighted it, and never enquired after it, likely.
