Job10:14

Verſe 14. If I ſin, then thou markeſt me] Though through humane frailty only I offend (& ni[illegible: 1 letter]is dedignatur mortalitatem qui peccaſſe erubeſcit,)Enphorm. thou ſoon noteſt it, thou followeſt me up and down, as it were, with pen, ink and paper, to ſet down my faults. How then, ſay ſome, that God ſees not ſin in his children? Job thought the Lord was over-ſtrict with him (which yet could not be) and that he put no difference betwixt him and thoſe that were notoriouſly wicked, as the next words import.

And thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity] That is, from the puniſhment of mine iniquity. Verba diffidentis, ſaith Mercer: words ſpoken according to the judgment of the fleſh, ſaith Diodate, which holdeth Gods viſitations to be puniſhments and vengeances.
