Job27:5
Verſe 5 God forbid, that I ſhould juſtifie you,] ſcil. By ſaying as you ſay; viz. that I am an hypocrite, and ſecretly guilty of ſome ſoule practiſes, for which I that grievouſly ſuffer. I know nothing of this Nature by my ſelf. God forbid, Abſit, res profana ſit mihi. The Hebrew word ſignifies, a profanation, or profane thing. It was the ſame they uſed, when they rent their cloathes at blaſphemy.
Till I die, I wil not remove my integrity] My perfection ſome render it, and ſo God accounteth it, when the bent, frame and tendencies of the heart are for him; though the mans wants be many and great. This Job knew, and would hold to. Let not the Divel baffle us out of our integrity.
