Verſe 16. Jeſus ſaith unto her, Mary.] Chriſt is neereſt to ſuch, as, with Mary cannot ſee him for their tears, if, with her, in humility they ſeek after him. He cals her but by her name, and ſhe acknowledgeth him. The ear, we ſay, is firſt up in a morning: and nothing ſo ſoon awakes us, as to be called by our names. How eaſily can Chriſt call up our drouſie hearts, when he pleaſeth: and (when we are even turned away from him, as Mary here was) make us reciprocate and cry Rabboni?
