John21:10
Verſe 10. Which ye have now caught.] He ſaith not, which I have cauſed you to catch. God is pleaſed to ſay, for our encouragement, that we doe ſuch and ſuch good works, when it is he that doth all our works in us, and for us. Certum eſt nos facere quod facimus, ſed ille facit ut faeciamus, Aug. The bowles of the Candle-ſtick had no oyl, but that which dropped from the olive-branches.
