Verſe 47. Beſought him that he would, &c.] Even Darius king of Perſia, can give order for prayers to be made at Jeruſalem, for the Kings life and his ſons (Ezra 6.10.) when he had ſeen divers of his children die before him, as Cteſias relateth.
