Ver. 19. I called for my lovers, but they deceived me] My confederates, idols, and other ſweet-hearts, never yet true to any that truſted them. See Jer. 22.20. & 30.14.
My Prieſts and mine Elders, &c.] What then became of poor folk? and how gracious was God to Jeremy in the proviſion made for him by the King, who yet loved him not?
