Ver. 16. He hath alſo broken my teeth with gravel-ſtones] i e. With gritty bread:Comminuit ſcrupis dentes meos. See Prov. 20.17.
He hath covered me with aſhes] The Greek and Latin have it, He hath fed me with aſhes, which was worſe then that bread made moſt of ſaw-duſt, wherewith they fed the Martyrs in the Marian times.
