Lamentations3:18
Ver. 18. And I ſaid] But not ſo wiſely. I was even almoſt tumbling into the pit of deſperation: I was ſtradling over it, as it were, but God preſerved me.
My ſtrength and my hope is periſhed] My ſtrength to bear theſe miſeries, and my hope to be ever freed of them.
