Lamentations3:34
Ver. 34. To cruſh under his feet all the priſoners of the earth] i. e. All thoſe that are in miſery, to lay more load upon them, and ſo to cruſh them to pieces, yea to grind them to powder. This he could as eaſily do as bid it be done: but he takes no ſuch delight in ſeverity and harſhneſſe.
