Ver. 11. They raviſhed the women in Zion] Heb. they humbled, i. e. they diſhoneſted: although Virgo invita vexari quidem poteſt, violari non poteſt. The Chaldee Paraphraſeth thus, The wives were raviſhed by the Romans, and the maides by the Chaldees: for the Jew-doctours do underſtand this book of the Lamentations concerning both the deſtructions of Jeruſalem.
