Verse 5. And Salmon begat Boos of Rahab.] This the Evangelist might have by tradition. Salmons genealogy is set down, 1 Chron. 2. Ruth. 4. but whom he married, nothing is reported. And Boos begat Obed of Ruth] Whiles Orphah wants bread in her own Countrey, Ruth is grown a great Lady in Bethlehem; and advanced to be great grandmother to the King of kings.
