Matthew14:17

Verse 17. And they say unto him, we have here] And were therefore ready to say with Nicodemus, How can this be? Christ had said, Give ye them to eat, to try them only, as St Iohn hath it. And, upon triall, he found them full of [illegible: 1 word], as appears by theirJoh. [illegible: 1 word]. 6. answer. But the comfort is, he hath promised to try his people indeed, but not as silver; Iest they should not bear any [illegible: 2 words] aIsa 48. 10. triall, as having more drosse in them then good oar. And, where he findes any the least grain of true grace, he cherisheth, and inhanceth it, by a further partaking of his holinesse. But five [illegible: 1 word] and two [illegible: 1 word]] Tyrabosco was hardly driven [illegible: 1 word]. p. 164. when from these five [illegible: 1 word] and two fishes he concluded seven Sacramen̄ts. Two, belike, of Gods making, and five of the bakers. So Cenalis Bishop of Auranches, would prove the Church of Rome the true Church, because it had bells by which their Aslemblies be ordinarily called together: But the Church of the Lutherans was reported to be congregated by claps of [illegible: 1 word] buzes and [illegible: 1 word]: And [illegible: 1 word] makes a long Antithesis, by Act and [illegible: 1 word]. [illegible: 1 word] [illegible: 1 word]. the which he would make good, that bells are the makers of the true Church. As that bells doe sound, the other crack: bells open heaven, the other hell, &c.
