Verse 17. And he left them] As not willing to loose his labour, to cast away his cost upon men so unthankfull, untractable.Ovid. Ludit, qui steril[illegible: 1 letter] semina mandat humo. Went out of the city into Bethany] Happly for safety sake: undoubtedly for his delight and to refresh himself with his friend Lazarus, after his hard labour, and little successe.
