John Trapp on Matthew 24:34

Verse 34. This generation shall not passe] viz. That generation that immediately precedes the end of the world. That this is the sense, appears by the Antithesis, vers. 36. But of that day and [illegible: 1 word] knoweth no man, q. d. The generation and age wherein Christ shall come, ye may know by the signs that foreshew it, but the day and hour ye must not look to know, be you never so intelligent.
