Proverbs8:35

Verſ. 35. For who ſo findeth mee, findeth life] Leſt any man ſhould hold it too hard a task to wait at Wiſdomes gates (as Princes guards, or as the Levites did in the Temple) ſhee tells them what they ſhall have for ſo doing.

And ſhall obtain favour] Which is better than life; Gods favour is no empty favour; It is not like the Winters Sun, that caſts a goodly countenance when it ſhines but gives little heat or comfort. As air lights not without the Sun, nor wood heats without fire, ſo neither can any thing yeeld comfort without Gods favour.
