Psalms107:11
Verſ. 11. Becauſe they rebelled againſt the words of God] Sin is at the bottome of all mens miſeries, as the procreant cauſe thereof; For God afflicteth not willingly, nor grieveth the children of men, Lam. 3.35. but they rebel againſt his words written in the Scriptures, or at leaſt in their hearts; and ſo he is concerned in point of honour to ſubdue them.
And contemned the counſel] A foul fault. See Luke 7.30.
