Psalms119:9
Verſ. 9 Wherewith all ſhall a young man] [illegible: 1 word], a lad, a ſtripling, who hath his name in Hebrew of [illegible: 1 word] to [illegible: 1 span] and the ſame word [illegible: 1 span] when [illegible: 1 letter]hi[illegible: 2 letters]led [illegible: 1 span] vanity of youth and [illegible: 1 span] once affections begin to boil within them. The Greek word for a youth, comes from another that ſignifieth to bee hot, and to boil up, or ſcald. By taking heed thereto according to thy word] Which is of a purifying property, Job. 15.3. & 17.17. and can cleanſe the heart of a young man alſo, where luſts are ſtrong, ſtains deep, and will not out without fullers ſope. There is a ſharpneſs in theſe wholeſome (or healing) words, that maketh us ſound in the faith, and ſincere in practice; as it did Mr. Paul Bains, whoſe converſation, when hee came firſt to Cambridge, was ſo irregular, that his Father being grieved at it before his death, left with a friend forty pounds by the year, deſiring that his ſon might have it if hee amended his manners: elſe not. Hee did ſo, and had it, &c.Mr. Clark lives. When a Child is come to bee thirteen years and a day old, the Jews account him a man and call him Barmitſuah, a child of the Commandement: becauſe bound to live by the law.Leo M[illegible: 1 letter]den[illegible: 1 letter] o[illegible: 1 letter] Jew[illegible: 1 letter]rite[illegible: 1 letter].
