Psalms33:9
Verſ. 9. For he ſpake, and it was done] So true is that ſaying, Dei dicere eſt facere. And a great ſhame it is to men to diſobey the great Creatour; and not rather to follow the example of the unreaſonable and inſenſible creatures.
And it ſtood faſt] The whole order of nature remaineth, as he ſet it: firm, faſt, and unmoveable.
