Psalms55:18
Verſ. 18. Hee hath delivered my ſoul in peace from the battel] This he ſpeaketh upon his prayer, by the force of his faith; as being aſſured of victory before the battel was fought, or ſtroak ſtruck, as they ſay.
For there were many with mee] i.e. Gods holy Angels, as 2 King. 6.16, 17.Vel multi ex Iſraele orantes pro Davide, ſic Aben-Ezra.
