CHAP. XXII. Verſe 1. A pure river]
NOt muddy as Nilus, but clear as Callirho[illegible: 1 letter]. The alluſion ſeems to be to that earthly Paradiſe ſo well watered, Gen. 2. or elſe to Ezek. 47. This river is Chriſt, Joh. 4.14. and ſo is that tree of life, verſe 2. The ſecond Adam is a quickening ſpirit.
