Verſe 17. Who ſhall be able to ſtand] They could not ſtand before their own miſ-giving hearts, and ſoul-condemning conſciences, how much leſſe before God that was greater then their hearts? God ſent his hornet, which drove out theſe Canaanites, Exod. 23.28. Facti ſunt à corde ſuo fugitivi, as Tertullian hath it.
