Revelation8:2
Verſe 2. Which ſtood before God] In a waiting poſture, ready pr[illegible: 1 letter]ſt to do his pleaſure.
Seven trumpets] To be ſounded at ſeven ſeverall times: to ſhew that God ſuffereth not his whole wrath to ariſe at once againſt his creatures, but piece-meal and by degrees: proving, if peradventure they will repent and recover out of the ſnare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
