Acts20:3

3 And there abode three moneths: And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria , he purposed to return through Macedonia.

Some have thought that their laying in wait, might be to rob him of the Collections which he carried with him for the Saints at Ierusalem; but most likely it was rather to take away his life, whom they hated for his zeal and diligence in the Gospel.

Shunning their treachery and plotting against him. He would not tempt God by running into dangers, tho his cause were never so good.

Being the same way that he had came to Corinth.
